Mom

A Saturday morning I was completely dominated by chilling bacteria of typhoid. With pain ah...oh was what I was humming. Head was burning like stove. Soaked cotton massages were a soothing, but water evaporated too quickly. World tasted soar. Entertainment turned into a headache. My Lord, God I chanted with hope.

“How are you feeling now, my son? May my life too add to yours! “, she prayed all the way as she was paining.

She, the unprized gift, preventing even a wink of her eye so I may sleep. Whole night standing by me as a guard. She troubling herself to make me trouble free. My mother, my true friend, my true lover, my true help, making me comfortable as if she is paining.

Three days I was fighting the severity of the disease. All these days my mother left everything serving me. She was there, ready and quick, when I called for anything. Night and day, seconds and minutes, moments and epochs thinking of me, praying, encouraging and caring.

Mother is a unique gift bestowed upon us. She is the hell where our pains burn. She is the paradise where our sweet dreams flourish (in fact, paradise lies beneath her feet). She is the shade where we can relieve ourselves after exhaustion. She is the only person who loves and cares us, no motive she harbours (even then she is left for crooked material and carnal love – sex partners).

Mother, may I live to make your life better! May I serve you even better! May paradise be your store, high and the best!

Youth

I am a youth, the future
I want to achieve, the dream so sweet
To become unique

I set an aim, aim of my life
When I was twenty or so
When my leader lectured
“Work hard and acquire
Knowledge, skills and experience
Be patient, treasures will reach you”

Now I am perseverance
My hair turning white
My heart endowed
With diseases chronic
Here my leader landed me

Bribes I am not able to give
Bureaucrat no relative is
I am rotting with that knowledge
In my head, bulged, swelled
Help me to be free
To attain now death!

The Greatest

I too want to be like him. He is my love, my hero and my celebrity. He is my inspiration, my guide and my influence. He is my only leader because he is the only one who teaches compassion, love and respect of humanity.

He is, about whom George Bernard Shaw says:
"If a man like Mohammed were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness."
Whose enemies would call him by the most respectable names. They would call him ‘the most truthful’, ‘the most trustable’ and ‘the truest’.

Who has been put at the top in the list of the most influential persons of the history by Dr. Michael H. Hart in ‘The 100’.

By whose influence and education Umar Ibn Khattab like personality emerged who in his governance used to take night rounds in Medina to confirm that all his subjects are sleeping comfortably, no one being empty stomach. (Today education creates leaders like Barrack Obama and Narendra Modi who only see their stomach and status, rest they are blind!)

By whose influence and education Syed Salah ad-Deen like military ruler emerged who sends fruits and ice and his personal physician to treat Richard, the Lionheart, his fierce opponent, during his illness. (Although today’s civilized world teaches the formula that when someone slaps your right cheek offer him left but they rape innocent Muslim women!)

By whose influence Mullah Mohd Umar like terrorist emerged whose warfare being poor and inefficient, has not submitted to the superpower (as American’s dream!) of the world and has been a single largest cause of America’s destruction.

According to Jules Masserman, a professor at the Chicago University and a US based psychoanalyst, “to judge any the greatest leader of history, he must fulfil three functions:

  1. Provide for the well-being of the led,
  2. Provide a social organisation in which people feel relatively secure, and
  3. Provide them with one set of beliefs."
He then searches history and present and analyzes - Hitler, Pasteur, Caesar, Moses, Confucius and so on, and ultimately concludes:
"Perhaps the greatest leader of all times was Mohammed, who combined all three functions."

Psychology of Personality

Personality is made up of the characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that make a person unique. (Kendra Cherry, psychology.about.com)

Many theories have been developed by psychologists to study personality. There is Sigmund Freud’s Psychoanalytical Theory and Cantell’s Trait Theory. These theories may be true to any extend, but after studying some people, I have come up with a new theory. I call this Hypocrisy Theory.

Actually, there are three kinds of mind. The Sound Mind, the Dead Mind and the Diseased Mind. The type of mind a person has, the type of personality he will have. Therefore, there are three kinds of personality - the Sound Person, the Dead Person and the Diseased Person.

The Sound Person:
A Sound Person’s mind is the Sound Mind. Attributes of the Sound Mind are:
1)      Free from doubt and uncertainty
2)      Not selfish
3)      Patience
4)      Humility
5)      Truthful
Therefore, a Sound Person is secure from any uncertainty regarding doing any good deed. He loves others without being selfish. Whatever the circumstances, he is always patient. He is always humble. He is peace and security of the world, of the families and of his society.

The Dead Person:
A Dead Person’s mind is the Dead Mind. This is the mind (ability of choosing right from wrong) that has no life. Attributes of the Dead Mind are:

1)    Slave of its carnal desires, temptations and pleasures
2)    No humility
3)    No patience
4)    No hope
5)    Full of hatred and envy

Therefore, a Dead Person’s mind may be working on the Pleasure Principle described by Sigmund Freud. If he loves, it loves for the sake of its base desires; if it hates, it hates for his base desires. He is selfish. He is ignorant. He is negligent of his affairs, family, his job, etc. He is spendthrift.

This person is dangerous for a society to only some degree because people will easily recognize him and dispose him off.

The Diseased Person:
A Diseased Person's mind is the Diseased Mind. This is the mind that has life but also has a defect. It has two impulses calling it: one leading it to life and the other to death and it follows whichever (impulse) predominates in a given situation. This person is very difficult to be recognized because he can pretend to be one of the Sound Persons.

This is the most dangerous person around us. We have to be cautious not to become his prey. Following symptoms may help you to recognize him.
Symptoms:

  1. Lying is their habit. To serve their selfish motives they tell lies.
  2. They are dishonest. Cheating is their profession.
  3. They break promises often and are master in it.
  4. They accuse others for their faults.
  5. They may fain of working for peace but they may be creating chaos.
  6. They are blind arrogates.
They are untrue to themselves, and therefore their minds, they soon pass into the category of those of the Dead Person. When these people meet the Sound Person they say: "We are  with you and support you.", but when they meet their own party, they say: "We are really with you, we were only jesting." Thus, these are the hypocrites.

Implications:
The theory's implications are wide. You can yourself prepare a list. You can use this theory when:

  1. going for marriage,
  2. choosing your leader,
  3. going in an unknown destination,
  4. making friends, etc.
In the next blog post, I will present real examples of three kinds of personalities presently living and will aware you about their dangers.

Confusion Everywhere

I went to buy shampoo
The retailer put a hundred
brands, designs and sizes before me
Explained merits and demerits of each
An expert was he in
Left me to choose from
"Which one would I pack?"
I was confused and left
My shining hair unshampooed.

I went to a doctor
As my stomach was burning.
Examined he me thoroughly
Came up with a cure
Said he can do three things
Explained merits and demerits of each
An expert was he in.
Left me to choose from.
"Which way I would treat you?"
I was confused and left
My stomach burning.

I went to a marriage bureau
As I am beautiful and young now.
The madam put a a hundred
photos of those pretty women.
Explained merits and demerits of each
An expert was she in
Left me to choose from
"Which one would I contact?"
I was confused and left
My burning desire unfulfilled.
